I just have to say one last thing...I know a LOT of people are going to want to post the specs of the new camera in their OWN post...can we just keep things limited to one post only please, or at least one post per camera if things go that way??

No way, this is a race to be the first to post man! EVERYONE should post and see who's first!
Can someone please translate this translation?
Canon's news releases posted. 発表日の午後1時にアップしますが、諸事情により若干の遅れがある場合はご了承下さい。 Up, announced at 1 pm, but some other reason, the delay may please acknowledge it.

As I was going into the local camera shop today this guy comes out, stops, and excitedly shows me his newEatch. It was one of the high-end types that show the time zones around the world, and he explained how hed been talking to one of the shops salesmen whod programmed it to synchronize with ALL of Canons upcoming Press Announcements! Even better, he said, the guy told him his ex-girlfriend knows another girl who works at a Starbucks close to Canons headquarters and ALL the baristas are in agreement: there will be NO direct print button on this body!

Canon's recent track record on bodies isn't great, and I'm expecting the worst.
Really? 'Track record' would imply a steady stream of bad bodies causing a bad reputation to form. I'm aware of a single mistake with the most recent 1D/1Ds AF, which has now been fixed. What are the other problems yielding this track record of bad bodies?
All I know is that I saw a vision in my breakfast this morning. My french toast spelled out the complete specifications for Canon's new camera, in laymen terms, granted... Sweet, butter-drenched goodness. I know it's not very specific, but I'm excited.

Fixed according to who? Not according to Galbraith.

Well, I'd suggest using Paypal MassPay for such a large number of payments... so 2.9%. I mean, if you wanna round up, that's cool I guess. But I don't want to sacrifice that .1% of MY quarter.
The gist of this says that Canon news will be posted at 1 PM, but there may be delays, so please be patient. My Japanese is not the greatest...
just assumed...nevermind

I would upgrade my 5D if the replacement is a 21 MP, Digic IV...
Is there any doubt of Digic IV? Has Canon ever released a camera with a new processor, and then followed with a new camera with a previous generation processor? Since the 50D has a Digic IV, I think it follows that anything new from this point forward will be Digic IV or better.
