p.1 #1 · spyware

What is everybody's preference in anti software and or spyware I seem to be having a lot of background add ons and my computer is getting slower. I was using windows live one care. I have had conflicting opinions on registry clean up as well any opinions .

Hi Randall

I use (in addition to Avast AV) AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy (the free versions of both). I also defrag my PC regularly.

For the occasional reg cleanup I use CCleaner, also free.

Get a Mac. Sprry, but I couldn't resist, and someone else would have suggested it sooner or later.

Firefox 3 and NoScript. NOTHING gets through without my say so.

Adaware and Spybot will get rid of any existing nasties.

Vista. Seriously. Unless you disable the built in security spyware doesnt stand a chance.

Beyond that, Avast.
