I finally got a half decent shot of a Kingfisher. I've been working on it for quite some time. It took setting up a blind and waiting for hours, but when I finally got a shot there was a light misty rain so my settings were not what I would have liked. Shot with the 100-400mm lens, ISO 800, 250/f6.7. I had to use some noise reduction as well.

Great shots. I would back off on the NR some as it has made the feathers too blurred.

Half-decent? These are a bit more than that. It's really hard to get these guys within anything better than docu-shot distance. Excellent captures Shirley, though I do agree with Tony (Imagemaster) about the NR, seems like there's a bit of a loss of feather detail. #2's my pick...
