I am assuming this is an adult female Ruby-Throated Hummingbird as identified in my Sibleys Field Guide. 2 days ago I moved my feeders and mixed up a new concoction of sugar water and bingo!! In 4 hours my backyard was alive. I have had up to 5 hummingbirds at a time waiting in line. What's even more interesting is watching them fly around and then land on the tiniest of branch and then start buzzing around again. More images to come. It's not my best but considering I had to shoot at ISO 800 due to no sun (yes, it's raining again in NH!) I think it came out pretty good. Thanks for looking!
The whole image looks soft to me. It has been raining here for days so I had to set the camera to ISO 800 just to get 1/250th at 2.8! Hopefully it will stop raining soon so I can get some sunlight. What a noise these little guys make when they are squabbling over an area.
