Congrats Herb
The thing about your 2000 mark is I think you have posted 2000 bird shots for us, heck I thought for sure you had won the lotto and that you were on a continous bird shooting mission there for few months!
I look forward to continued postings and many new species from you, both bird and flowers, take care
Karl
Thanks Karl. I appreciate your comments and stay tuned for some Atlantic Puffins and maybe some razorbills from Maine in the upcoming week.

Great shots Herb and congrats on acheiving the 2000 mark. You only have a little ways to go to catch up with some of the more prolific posters around here
Hope I've added to your enjoyement along the way.
Ken
Thanks Ken, and you've added to the fun experience here bigtime. Thanks for converting me to RAW only.

Congratulations on your milestone Herb
Nice election to celebrate with.
My top picks are... # 6, 8 & 12
Congrats on the Kingfisher in flight
Lil
Thanks for the picks Lil. BTW the kf was any easy catch, as there are few trees in the midst of the marsh, the kf' s have to hover and search for fish rather than sit from an elevated perch, so he was almost still in that shot.

Congrats on a wonderful series and #2000 Herb! You've been putting up some super stuff, 9 and 12 are my favorites in this set. Get going on the next 2000!
Doug
Thanks Doug, I'm already getting psyched for a Maine shorebird excursion this weekend, specifically the puffins. Taking a boat and island tour of the largest puffin colony on the east coast, Macchias Seal Island, not far from Nova Scotia.

Although all shots are excellent I really like that airborn Kingfisher! Getting good shot of these birds at perch is one thing but such a great shot in flight shows talent a I presume some perseverance! Congrats on #2000
Congrats on your milestone and and a wonderful series, Herb. I always enjoy seeing your post and I've always admired your skill..
8, 9 and 12 are my favorites.

Nice series Herb, I know the Walkill river but never knew about this spot so a good find and great photos. BTW don't give Irv to much credit as ot will go to his head. and then there will be no living with him

Congrats, Herb - we're glad you're here . You celebrated the occasion with a beautiful series. Absolutely love the Indigo Buntings, especially the second two - gorgeous captures
