Looking at Canon's site, their next rebate period seems to always start on Oct 15th.

I wonder if the 35L will be on there again. I missed out since Everyone was out of stock when it was 100$ off. Sure hope they do the instant rebate again, but I dont know if I can resist buying one that long!! :Bites fingernails!:
does the $100 off really make the difference between purchase and not on a $1200 (ish) lens? especialy when poeple complain that the price goes up when the instant rebate arrives.

Every little bit helps. Especially if they do the double rebate.
yea i didnt really want to spend 1080 on it, but was going to, now that its 1180 its worth waiting for..
as with Porsches - just cause its 50,000 doesnt mean I can spend 55,000....
With all the previous hassles with Canon rebates and places like B&H raising their prices during a rebate...who do people even bother? Save an extra week or do without the Latte's for a week rather than agonize over the next rebate.

I didn't see a price hike by BH prior to the recent rebates? Are you mistakeningly confusing the price hike madated by Canon across most of their lenses that occured just before the rebate period due to the sour economy in general? During the rebate period, all reliable resellers (ie. BH) had pretty much the same prices.

This lens out of stock even without rebate I am keep getting offers on mine time to time from FM Buy & Sell forum just because it is on mine profile.
