The new West Bend configuration gives a head-on view from the new spectator area. Something you couldn't get anywhere else at the track before (unless you had credentials). In the morning you get great light there, but unfortunately I was there late in the afternoon shooting into the sun, and the colors show it. A longer lens would have helped too:
Nice work Mark. The only thing I would say is that I've always been told to leave a little more room in the front of the car on the side pans so it looks like it has somewhere to go.

Thanks, I think you make a good point. I usually struggle between getting in close and backing off for better framing. Also true horizontal pans/crops, versus introducing some angle.
