Great entry, well composed and lit/exposed.
But it gives me mixed feelings. I just spent a couple of hours cleaning out the maple saplings growing in our eaves troughs. Not sure how much "care" they really need; they seem to be quite tenacious. Our neighbour has a massive silver maple that floods our property with maple keys every spring. About 15 years ago I brought a wheelbarrow full of soil into our back yard, but got called away before doing anything with it. A week later there was a sapling (spawn of our neighbour's tree) growing in it, smaller than the one in your image--only three leaves. So I carefully transplanted it in the back corner of our yard and let it grow. It's now easily twice as tall as our two-story house with a thick trunk; my wife calls it the "weed" tree because of its phenomenal growth. But I digress...
You have a really nice entry. Best of luck.
