Remember a MF lens is labeled as if it were 35mm.
No, it's labeled by the physical property of focal length of the lens (in millimetres), which is the same regardless of the size of the projected image (film/sensor size).
A 80mm stays a 80mm whether you use it on 35mm or medium format.
Hubsand should know a fair amount about MF lenses. I think he says on his webpage that Pentax645 lenses should be among the sharpest.
Just picked up a Mint- Mamiya 150/3.5N for use (for now)on the 1Ds2 - nice.
So far, a little color fringing WO (no worse than any other non-APO glass) and while not 100 APO sharp (or priced), it's sharp WO in the center, low contrast and with nice painterly colors/rendition (for lack of a better description). In short, looks like a nice small and fast focusing keeper - for under $200 to boot. Would make a very nice portrait lens.
