Which is actually quite a reasonable price, it's not much more than a 90 Summicron pre-Aspherical goes for and the Nikkor is significantly less common.

Which is what I thought. The Nikon RF mount version is quite common.

It's too bad that you can't easily convert from S to LTM mount. There is a coupled M mount adapter available (in S and Contax forms), but it's a $300 handmade item from South America.
Leica 90mm Summicron-M, last version before the APO, E55 filter. Not much interest for dSLR users, but if comparing the bokeh from the R to M, then these might be useful.
