" Francisco, those are stunning images, love the subtle yet detailed rendering. Looks incredibly realistic and "touchable" if you know what I mean. Very jealous of that lens "
Thank you very much Thrice. Yes, it's an amazing lens.
I have a love-hate relationship with this lens. The bokeh sucks really bad at larger distances (a few meters), from f/1.4 to f/2.8. But the closer you focus, the better the bokeh gets. The above shot is somewhere in between good and bad, in my opinion. As you can see, it declines in terms of nice look, towards the edges.
Edit: Please note that I've enhanced the local contrast by applying USM with a large radius (100 pixels), which affects the look of the bokeh a bit.
Now for my favourite lens of all times! The Nikkor 28/2.8 AIS, wide open on D700. The bokeh is really pleasing for a wide angle lens, in my opinion. Cropped to 5:7 format, sideways.
Great shots, not especially alternative though - with the exception of the nokton but I'm not particularly fond of it's bokeh; personally. Not complaining as I like seeing the best Canon and Nikon glass have to offer, just giving you the heads up.
It doesn't matter much in my opinion if you post samples taken with "alternative" lenses or Canon/Nikon stuff. They are all welcome - we do, after all, want to see different results making it possible to pick equipment to our taste. All lenses can't be alternative...
The CV40/1.4 Nokton is hard on the eyes, there I agree with thrice. But so is the EF50/1.4 and you have made an image with that lens which look surprisingly good to me.
Please feel free to post more "admirable" blur samples when you get something!

Oh my goodness, talk about alternative lens. How rare, do you have more examples from this lens?
I will in time share additional samples, It arrived just this week but the same day I got just got it, my Mom went into the hospital so these were the only shots I could get off to see how it performed. They were both shot from my back door into the yard.
