I guess no one is saying the 50MP isn't sharp. It's a hell of a sharp lens. It's just that the bokeh tends to be on the busy side. Pretty much any lens can have smooth bokeh given the right circumstances.
Those were not shot as a comparison and this is obviously not a totally fair game due to different light, angle and obviously non-matching dof. Plus the background has too little detail to show a really big difference. But I'd say the CV looks quite a bit more 'calm'.

Not necessarily if you don't translate distracting with visible detail in the background. It is more about the transitions of the blur discs rather than the absolute amount of blur. Stopping down can sometimes even improve that, a lot of 50/1.4 show rather heavy rings around the blur discs wide open which disappear stopped down.
