Thanks philber! I've done several shoots with her and she's kind of become my muse.
I've gotten a lot from looking at the many great shots from you regulars on this forum so I figured it was time I put in something. Of course, I also got a lot of lenses I hadn't planned on buying but it's been a great learning experience. BTW, I blame Paul Yi since it was the pictures he posted on B&S when he was selling the Planar 2/100 that got me started.
Here's one I liked the buttery blur in. Hand held with moving subjects so subject isn't crispy, tack sharp, but good enough. Taken at a polo match at the end of the summer. Try to guess alt. lens. Tough one, but you may get close. For answer scroll down beneath the photo, revealed in parts:

Nice pic but how can two blades form a circle?
They don't. I guess the two blades form a square opening thanks to being angled and then moved towards each other when closing down. I recalll something like that from an old Kodak Instamatic and there are probably many cheap P&S cameras equipped with simple aperture arrangements like that.

If possible I'd love to see a picture of that.
I would post one if I still had that Instamatic. Maybe somebody else? That is unless my logic and memory don't make a fool out of me of course. That happens...
