Not what i'd like to do but under the circumstances, when the couple chooses the venue, they have to expect that they aren't going to get the kind of shots that you'd get, say outdoors in hawaii, ya know?
I know my lead photog uses lowell tota hot lamps in these types of churches. I'm not a big fan of hot lights but they do give us a two stop advantage during the dark hall type weddings.
