p.1 #1 · First GBH of the summer

I finally got out this week looking for this heron. It took 3 visits on 3 different days but it payed off in the end.

Got a few more to edit but here are 2 of my favs from the bunch!

ISO 200 F8 1/500 @400mm, Post done on Adobe CS curves adjustments, added more colour in the channel mixer and a tad of USM. First image is slightly cropped about 10%, second is cropped 30%

And those results are amazing

Love the sharpness and color of the first but the slight motion of the wings makes it just excellent. BG on the first also is pleasing. Second one is excellent in-flight but the first steals the show for me

They are both very good shots. Very nice detail, color and lighting.

Thanks for taking the time to comment Karl. I was a little concerned that the colour might be a bit much for some but I tend to like a little pop!

Glad you guys like them! I too love the first...one of my personal best of a heron in flight I think
