So, just swans and kids and a lake.
Minolta Autocord, Ilford HP5+, lab development (D76) and scan (got too lazy to develop at home nowadays - and kids can drink my rodinal, I have to hide it;-).
Looks like one of my work cameras needs service. Canon 1V won’t turn on. Any alternative USA repair centers? Canon overseas still services the 1V but not USA.

Walter's Camera Repair in LA works on Canon film cameras. An EOS 3 I sold to a fellow down there needed some work, and they got it figured out for a reasonable rate.
Well, I had my first experience with chems that have gone bad with this last roll I shot. I knew I was getting close to the time to dump them, and had planned on this being the last roll, but I thought I was safe. I last used my C41 chems to develop three rolls of film in early August, and they came out perfectly. This batch of chemicals was mixed in April, so I knew that I was pushing it a little, but apparently that month between the last roll and now was what was needed for the developer to finally go kaput.
This roll came out just massively underdeveloped (and yes, I had adjusted time per recommendations for each roll prior developed) - I could see an image, but the negatives were just supremely thin. I thought when I scanned I might have a little detail in the highlights, but that was it (it was hard to see the edge of each frame).
To my surprise, there was actually a fairly full amount of detail throughout the frame, though the underdevelopment certainly skewed color balance, as well as massively increased grain from the amount of tonal separation needed in post to correct for the thinness of the negatives. Still, I'm glad I got at least something out of the roll, rather than a completely blank roll. So now I know, four months is about the max I can push my C41 chemicals.
Anyway, these three I still found somewhat interesting, despite the technical flaws.
