I did not see this mentioned anywhere however Fujifilm has announced that after discontinuing Acros, they will be reintroducing an updated emulsion as Acros II which will be available in 35mm and 120. Supposedly the grain will be even finer (hard to believe but I suppose we'll see).

Wow! I have been staying away from film lately. My work has been super busy and I just don't have the time. Plus, the last few rolls I shot were somewhat disappointing...
But these punchy, crisp Acros scans are prompting me to pick up a few rolls and shoot some film again this weekend! (I assume they were taken with a Hasselblad?)
OK. So I need to know what is making these fairly sedate tree images simply POP off the screen? I can't take my eyes away. So stereoscopic. They should be featured in the "3D Look" thread!

Is it the Acros film providing the pop?
Or is it the 150/4 lens?
Thank you, I liked how these turned out as well. The sharpness of the 150/4 and Acros grain contribute a lot to the "pop", I'm sure. Maybe also the high contrast look. I shot these with an orange filter. I would like to get some of this film into the darkroom and see what I can do at some point.
