Welcome to FM. Great to see a new person who shoots film. Where about in Michigan are you?
Thanks. I shoot with a Canon 6D, but I got a great deal on a Pentax 645 and decided to give medium format film a try. I only shot one roll this Fall, but plan on using it some more. I'm in the Upper Peninsula near Houghton.
I’m honestly not sure but I’m always shooting hand held, so tend towards the wide open end to keep shutter speed up. I don’t think this was an overly bright morning so within a stop or two of wide open probably.

What aperture was this shot at? I have a GW690 but have mostly been shooting at f16, looks like your photo has a nice blurry background.

I love Matt's dock photo. I'd say it was shot at f/3.5. I'm the opposite - I almost always shoot wide open because I like a defocused background, even in a landscape photo. The GW690 lens is tack sharp at the point of focus even at f/3.5, and has really nice bokeh wide open.
It's been ugly here in NYC the past few weeks - cloudy and murky - but my GW690iii is next in line for a little exercise!!
Haven't posted anything in quite a while. Good to see you guys are still doing your part to keep film being produced.
Here's a shot of the rear of the Bush Library in College Station. My 'new to me' Chamonix 8X10 camera, a Kodak Commercial Ektar 8 1/2" lens and some VERY expired (1998) Kodak Ektachrome E100S film. It's not edited too much other than cropping. Hopefully, I'll be able to make some use of it when I go out to Zion in early February next year. If you notice, the Ektar just barely covers 8X10.
Thanks, 3.5 is a good guess too. I agree, I like a little defocus as well, adds depth. Happy shooting.

Hey Mathieu18 - I think a while back I tried to convert an ektar image for you. And failed horribly.
I now use negativelabpro.com and it works great with all films, including ektar.
