A good day with two rolls of Acros developed. Those are hanging out to dry now so in the meantime, here's some Acros from the archives. Fujifilm GF670.
Some expired Kodak TriX shot thru my Mamiya 7 w/65mm lens. An old Southern Pacific train depot not far from home. So dang hot and sticky here that I had sweated thru my tshirt by the time I shot the roll. Ugh.

Heads up: Someone just just dropped 9 Fuji GW690III cameras on eBay (now only 8 left). They are from a "pro studio" inventory, so they are well used, but there are a couple in nice shape, and the prices are reasonable. I picked what I thought was the best of the litter from the detailed photos - no cracks or major dings, all parts intact, guaranteed in working order with correct shutter speeds, no haze and 490 (4,900 frames) on the counter - for $379. I think that's a good price and "worth it" to me. I have been looking for a GW690 II or III for awhile, but they are usually either not in good shape with cracks and missing parts, or in good shape but too expensive. This one straddled the fence. I'm already drooling over the prospect of 6x9cm negatives!
FUJI GA645 with Ilford HP5+ at local farmer's market.
I used to shoot Tri-X with 35mm and medium format since that's what everyone suggested but I like HP5+ a lot more since it has less contrast. Some of the photos I took with Tri-X had a HDR like quality to it that I didn't like too much.

Can you post an example of the HDR like shots please?

Good price? That's an AMAZING price for such a great camera. Congrats!
Edit: I see no seller with 8 cameras for sale, nor any priced anywhere near what you paid.
There are only 2 left less than 24hrs later - they went FAST! I was fortunate to be browsing right as they went on sale, so I was able to sort through and get the one I wanted.
The 2 that are left are both $374.99 (which is what I paid). One has 6,000+ clicks, and is missing the glass cover on the lens aperture window, and the other is 8,000+, but looks clean. Interestingly, the cheaper ones all sold. Most were pretty ugly. But all were guaranteed to be working.
Search eBay for GW690iii and then restrict to the U.S. There are only 3 right now, and 2 of them are from that "lot".
I'm a little nervous that mine has 429 on the shutter counter (4,290 clicks), because I read in the GW690iii manual that Fuji recommended a service at 5,000 clicks. Of course, I probably won't ever put 70 more rolls through it...

Well, I might have bought one if i could have found the auction. Never did.
Those shutter counters are easily manipulated and give no information of value.

Looking at the huge negs with the 690 cameras is so awesome. Last week I shot about ten rolls with my 690. Which amounts to 80 pics....
And, if ya can find 220, it's 16 shots per roll. I have some Ektachrome 100SW coming. Woohoo!!
Went to B&H today to pick up some film then walked down the West Side / Hudson River and back home to Bklyn. 7 miles. Snapped a few photos along the way. Hasselblad 500 C/M + Ilford PanF Pro 50. Home developed in FF No. 1 Monobath.
I had a much better experience this time - metered for ASA50, and got some nice dense negatives with no streaks or scratches! Who knew?
But I really dislike PanF Pro. So flat, even with judicious processing in LR. If I try to make it more contrasty, it loses the highlight detail and the sky goes white. Arghh.

For those of you "Scanning" with a digital camera - I just got a DigitaLiza so I can go back and digitize of of my older lab scans. The digital camera and macro lens are the easy part - what are you all using for a lightbox?
