A few to share from last weekend. Ventured into the world of Rodinal for the first time. From a hike at South Cumberland State Park, kentmere 100, Nikon FM with both e series 50/1.8 and 28/2.8 w/ yellow filter being used. Rodinal 1:50 for 15 minutes, pakon scanned, lr5
from above the falls
at the base
my personal favorite (I can't put my finger on why yet) shot wide open at maybe 1/30th of a sec handheld
one more of the falls from a distance. Side note, I almost fell off the cliffs on the upper left side of the image last fall. Glad I didn't (I wouldn't be here)
It was a bit on the challenging side. It was around 10pm at night, so focusing on the ground glass was a pain. I shot some digital as well, but I really liked the 4x5.
For those whom like history and stories, the above waterfall is Foster Falls. About 105 years ago or thereabouts there was a young man whom rode his horse to the falls. This being a popular water hole for summer vacationers from the surrounding cities, this young man thought he would impress some folks. So he jumped his horse off the top of the falls into the pool below, 65-70' down. I have a picture of this gentlemen in a book I have that related the story.

Some tourist-style-snaps from a short walk with a Zeiss Ikon Nettar. That's a middle-class 6x6-folder.
Overexposed the whole roll (a case of mistaken film-identity). Developed the (really expired) HP5plus in Rodinal 1+25 with a shortened time.
The negs came out surprisingly well.
kwoodard, no idea about the horse but apparently he did. I have remembered the story because no way in hell I would even jump off a falls that high.
lenticular, you know how history is, depends on who is telling it
I do have the book in the house and will take a pic of his pic and the story. It was word of mouth history documented in 1982 by some old timers whom were alive and young kids themselves up there then.
Thanks, Jon. This was my Chamonix 4X5 field camera, Caltar 210 lens w/85B warming filter(Fuji NPL is a tungsten-balanced film). Probably shot this at f32 for 1/8 sec.
