Marc Ford and Rich Robinson, guitarists for the Black Crowes, photographed on the roof of the Mondrian Hotel in L.A. for Guitar Player Magazine. This is cross processed Fuji color neg.
Nice Peter! The cross process "works" for this image.
I have some live images of Marc from a side project in Nashville, maybe 2007 or 2008 (forget which project). I used to co-own a little production company in Nashville in the 2006-2008 time frame and spent a lot of times in clubs. I have an archive of images I need to go through from that time. Of course I was shooting digital so this isn't the thread for it but you have inspired me to dig up some of them.

That's a Canon 1V. Film all the way!!
I had one of those twice in my time with Canon, just a fantastic AF SLR. I've long wanted to try a Nikon F6 but I don't have any AF or Nikon equipment.

A Canon lens on a Leica? Seems a bit wrong!
Hardly! Back then Leica's optics weren't what they are now, so photographers often used Canon or Nikon LTM lenses on the old screwmount bodies. DDD is a great example of someone that relied heavily on Nikkor glass with his IIIa bodies in the Korean War.
Fuji 200, Olympus XA. Nature walk yesterday. Side note... its insane how expensive developing and high res scans are nowadays. Been a while since I've developed color at home, and my Pakon 135+ bit the dust so I think my film days are numbered.
Tom, my summitar is collapsible so won't go on my M5 due to the meter post. Well, it will but I can't collapse it without damage. So I use my canon serener. I believe it is a double gaus design so gives that "classic" low contrast, good for b&w look. I missed focus on the above though
Jim, what is wrong with your pakon? The nexlab f135 non plus models will scan in 16base using tlx so still get the 3000x2000 resolution scans, just a bit slower and have to use the tlx interface. The non plus versions are much cheaper. About the price the plus' were a few years ago.

You can get mail order developing for $5 a roll. Hardly insane. I just developed 2 rolls of film myself before sitting down to the computer to read this thread. Total cost, about $3. For 2 rolls.
The cost of a Plustek 35mm scanner is not high at all.
My pakon is no longer recognized in Windows xp, I think the USB port died. AAA quoted me a repair price of $400 which is $150 more than I paid for it I'll check out the nexlab version, thanks for the tip!

My local lab charges $29 with tax to develop a 24 exp with 3x5 prints and high res frontier scans to tiff on cd. I guess I got spoiled when I had the pakon and was developing color at home. I'll look into mail order possibilities, thanks

Jim, not sure if your a member but there is an excellent facebook group for the pakon. Just search pakon f135+ and ask to be added. Many people are going the non-plus route since it was found it could also scan at high rez in tlx, just not as fast (still way faster than any flatbed). I hope my plus lasts a good long time.
$29 is insane. I'm surprised anymore would pay that. It's ridiculous.

Teutonic selfie, to get a landscape-oriented shot the Olympus needs to be held in upright position, I wasn't scratching my head ;-)
technical stuff as above
The masking bands (term?) of the Focomat V35 will make a nice (to my eyes) unsharp border around the selected frame, with the softness of this border depending on the selected aperture.
