Enjoying your old stuff, Tom! Keep sharing them.
Apparently there were only like 3000 can ams sold. Big block engine on this one. 6.8litere I think
Thanks Jon. Some new stuff coming REAL soon. I just finished developing my very first batch of film on US soil. Two rolls of Acros 100 are now hanging out to dry now. I should have them scanned tomorrow so watch this space.
I did some reading on the Can Am. HUGE engine but miserable '70s performance. Check this out:
"Performance tests from 1977 estimated 0-60 mph time for the Can Am with the Pontiac engine at about 10 seconds, about the same as the previous year's Le Mans with the 455, and a 1/4 mile time of approximately 17 seconds."
10 seconds with a nearly 7 liter engine? My god. I drive a Ford Fiesta ST, with a 200 hp 1.6 liter engine and it does 0-60 in a tad over 6 seconds.
Don't forget that by 1977 these engines were low compression, smog motors that put out about 180 hp. In 1969 this same engine would make an easy 400+ hp.
Don't race your Fiesta for pinks against a 1969 Judge!

You got that right! The 60's cars were monsters. It's just sad what happened to cars in the '70s.

Chicago has labs, but Michigan does not, which is where I'm living these days. I know, gotta update my profile.
I am researching C-41 labs and will look at the links you provided.
I am from Michigan and there is a place in Ohio that develops C-41 and does original prints from your 120mm. It is called, "The Photo Place." Very happy with them and there is a guy up in Saginaw that develops E-6.
If you are near Dexter Michigan you can stop in and buy the c-41 and e-6 chemical manufacturer yourself and buy a kit from them.

Thanks Scott. I actually mailed off 5 rolls of film to The Photo Place in Ohio a few days ago. I dont know if they will get back to me before Christmas. Most likely not but perhaps a few days after. Good to hear that you are happy with them. I hope to be soon too shortly.
Have just restored an old Mamiya Six IV B Folder and very happy with the results. I really was not expecting the Olympus D lens to be so sharp.
Tri-X @ ISO400 in Xtol undiluted developed for 7min @20'C - despite using film since the early 90's this is the first time that I use Tri-X and I don't know why it has taken me this long to try it as the tonality is fantastic and the grain very acceptable in XTOL.
