Pentax 6x7 with Portra 400. This is actually my first roll of the new Portra, after finally exhausting my supply of my beloved Portra NC. I have to say, I like the subtler colors of NC better.

Love these two, bokeh in the highlights is killer.
Glad you liked them, those were two of my favourites as well. So different to my Minolta/ZA glass with rendering, I immediately jump to it being a bit hard/distracting for OOF areas, but I've likened to it eventually. Kind of interesting. One thing I will say is that I was surprised with how well the 80/1.9 handles flare - I read about it being quite bad in this area, but these two were shot into the sun (which was still pretty strong, far from sunset) and they've came out pretty clean. I get a little red flare circle here and there but that's all fine with me
Thanks Zaitz... Still fighting grain. I think it's in my developement, but I'll get it. Yeah, love the clouds,,, wish I had been shooting LF during this summer here at home. Had to go to Florida for these...
Yeah those skies near the coast are hard to rival. I need to think of some close locations I can quickly get to when the skies are good.
How do your negatives look? Thin, dense? Where do the tones fall on the scanners histogram? I know in my comparison Arista 400 was noticeably grainier than HP5. My thin negatives just look like garbage when scanned so I really try to get a dense negative. You'd think their 100 would be pretty grainless in 4x5.

corp is that portra? I'd like to see that pigeon hole shot with efke 25.
2 shots minolta fze 28-70 macro with xp2. doesn't the same punch as tri-x for me.
It is indeed. Another from the same roll is below. I have a small stash of E25 thanks to fellow member mirkoc, but it's in my "special occasion" section of my freezer, along with my original RVP. XP2 is awesome for those really high latitude shots. I must be the only person in the world who isn't head over heels in love with TX.
