Finally got around to some scans from last year. All from a trip out west to the Grand Canyon and Zion. Both my 5d and 20d were at Canon for servicing so I figured I would shoot a bunch of film. Thankfully brought along my old 350d as I learned after I got home that my ae-1 developed a terrible light leak and ruined a majority of the negatives. Was able to salvage a few with either cropping or for the less severe, converting to B&W. All the ae-1 shots are on a 28mm WolfPro branded lens which I believe I left in our room at Zion Lodge (couldn't find it after we got home).
From Angels Landing at Zion mid morning. Believe all were shot on Fuji Reala.
that 28 is SOFT in the corners. Also terrible vignetting that thankfully could be corrected in post. Unfortunately the terrible softness could not.
my wife over by checkerboard mesa shooting digital
and 1 of watchman from my yashica mat LM, also I believe on fuji reala.
Zalmyb, thanks. I am so used to digital, from capture to workflow that shooting film is a fun, challenging break away from what I am used to. I am shooting more and more film for personal pleasure and keeping digital primarily in the bag only to come out for paid jobs. This thread has been a huge inspiration for me and I thoroughly enjoy checking out what new posts are up daily.

This has to be my favorite thread on FM... But please someone move all those xpan shots off to their own thread so I can browse without fear of GAS....
I shall not buy an x-pan

I shall not buy an x-pan
Hmm, I already started getting the XPan stuff I want. I have the cable release, spirit level, 45 and a 90 which I need to get cleaned. I am watching all XPan I and II bodies which go by at the moment, waiting for a nice deal...
don't think I've posted these so I'll throw them up. This is from the first roll I shot on my Yashica Mat LM 2 years ago. My first foray into MF film. Nothing too special and I forget the film used although I believe it was either fuji or portra (what I typically shoot).
testing out how shallow the dof is, shooting wide open
It was a fun experience, but I think it's somewhat more practical to shoot on a larger format and then crop down to the perspective I want, rather than shoot 24x65mm exclusively. The biggest hitch in that argument is the amazing 30mm lens, which I rented for my trip to Death Valley, that was really incredible, and is also (technically) the widest "medium format" lens available that is not a fisheye.
I guess it's further reinforced my feeling that my 3rd foray into 35mm film (over 20 years) will probably be my last.
Wow, this is actually a good photo, but, our crappy scanner really sucks.
And all this dust! It's horrible.
This does not do this photo justice, even though it is a small instant film.

Self dev with the Tetenal C41 Kit. I get cans off ebay. There was some 500T for CHEAP (7 cents a foot, ~6 feet per roll), so I HAD to get some. They also had <10 cent per foot 200T, so I have about 1,400 feet left of that. I'm thinking about buying some more, but I currently have 4,700 feet of film...
More questions:
This film is already perforated, right? Doesn't it have backing paper on it? How do you get it off - does it run through the camera okay like that? You are c-41 developing this? It comes out okay?

Thanks!!
Yup already perfed, no backing paper, this goes though 35mm cinema cameras. Get it off? C41 dev, but you can only develop it by yourself or it will gunk up the machine.
