Zalmy - you handholding that beast? The flare in the penultimate shot is great. You seem to have a knack for these shots.
Nathan - we get them in Southern California too, but they are pink, not green!
Kop.cppua - nothing like paring a sweet film with an even sweeter lens. What was the lighting here?
Thanks Zaitz - you need to make it to DV at some point n your life - knowing what I know from your photography, you'd probably enjoy spending a year there, at least. Last year I did make it out there for a short time. I am getting better at planning my trips but that road trip was fairly bad. I didn't plan on stopping at DV so was only there for about an hour and a half (photo time otherwise driving through). Spent 2 40 minute sessions out in Mesquite Dunes on a nice hot July evening. And you are right, I'd love to spend a ton of time there. I may have to make a trip there this summer again and just stay for a couple weeks. Do it real cheap. Not film but here are a few of the photos I came up with: http://www.flickr.com/photos/zboumeester/sets/72157627258331742/

Actually, the "Arts and Crafts" thread kind of inspired me to put up a little "art" - you can get interesting results if you take everything you know about gear/technique and then do the opposite.
That's some great results right there, i almost thought i was looking at 5D2/L prime shots. You definitely know what your doing at the digitization stage as well as the shooting stage.
Lovesong, I rated it at 200 (it was very expired and as far as I know film loses sensitivity with age), and it wasn't really in full sunlight… I was actually quite low on some of them (1/60)).
Why did you get rid of your RZ?
Mike, yeah I'm handholding , it's not that bad actually.
Chris, thanks, I'll take the compliment for the shooting but the developing and scanning is all done by Richards Photo Lab… (is the 5D comment a compliment? )
Here's the second roll from the same day:
RZ67, 110mm, Delta 400 pushed to 1600 (and my meter was stuck on the same exposure for some reason, hence the underexposed last two photos. I'm pretty ticked off about that..)
Have not shot any film in quite a while and really haven't shot much at all other than paid jobs this winter. Glad to get out yesterday and shoot a roll of film. All of these are shot on cheap fuji200 using a minolta srt201 and rokkor 501.7.
Why I love using negative film, DR! Couldn't do this with digital without blowing the highlights. Shooting from my dark den out the window where it was bright and sunny.
Went hiking with my wife and stepdaughter. Brief stop to pick up some picnic supplies.
Trees are all alive again back from winter's dormancy.
another example of fantastic DR, this was extremely back lit.
The cheap Fuji print film seems to do this on my end. I just took the straight scans and was too lethargic to fool with processing them as these were just for fun/walkaround. I use a epson 4990. My monitor is also calibrated and I agree with you about the green cast
Lovesong, very nice, especially 1 and 3. Boy do I miss that 50 on the hassy. I should be picking up the 50 for the RZ, which I hope has some f the magic...

Thanks, zalmyb. I used to have the 65 L/A for the RZ, which was absolutely stunning, and about the same focal length as the 50 on the Hasselblad. I've heard the 50 ULD is as sharp as the 65, albeit almost twice the price.
