Oh yay, got my 6x7 finally. Broke on the first roll though. Wonderful. Just some test shots around the house.
I had a Hexar RF break after one roll - the gear in the film transport system was totally shot. It's at the Konica graveyard now waiting for parts.

Nice looking lens (and pictures!), just too long for most of what I like to shoot. Not that I even have a Mamiya 7...
You should think about it - 6x7 puts 35mm into perspective - and the DOF is unreal. Makten has some nice examples of that taken with his Pentax 67. 150mm on 6x7 is something like 72mm on 35mm.
Yeah I like the look, but the cameras are just so big. Haha. I know they really aren't that big, but I just can't get used to it. I shot 6x6 for awhile on an SWC. Awesome camera, awesome photos, but I hated carrying it around and dealing with the negatives. 35mm is just so small and cute and easy to handle. haha.
I tried to keep the mountains more neutral as well as the sky. Glad I am finally done editing, it took forever. Just getting rid of the small bits of sand/dust took over 6 hours. I would have liked to keep the vignetting less noticeable in the lower right. Not sure if it's the scan or my processing but the drum scan has much better detail in the highlights of the sky.

Looks great!
I think there's also more detail in the shadows and the mountains too. It seems like the conventional wisdom with Velvia is that there's more range available than a basic scan initially shows.

Thanks. Yeah there is more detail, probably the way I edited as well.

Very cool shot.
Thanks. I may need to give it another go, but not for a long time. Already getting sick of this edit. Not liking the direction I took the shadows. Though I do prefer the sky/mtns.
corposant: Thanks! I never even got to try Neopan 400 in 120 my friends using it for 35mm love it. Nice shots btw, especially loving the ones where you broke the rule of thirds!
Zaitz: Fantastic photo! Love the bold colors and all that detail in the fore and back ground.
