I think I messed up the entire Arista Pan 100 roll. Theory is that the single roll tank didn't fill all the way for it's pre-soak. Sometimes the baffle fills with liquid making it look full, but a simple 30 degree tilt lets you know if it actually is full or not. I don't believe it is a manufacturing defect, and prefer to blame operator error - me. It left a less developed band across the entire roll. I retouched the error in these. Pen FT 40mm f1.4

Vredeborch Felica, Ferrania Orto 50. For the second photo I used an improvised telephoto lens using half of an old pair of binoculars whose eyecups fit perfectly over the lens of this camera.
Tried some macro with the Pen FT. First two are with the Zuiko 40mm f1.4 lens & a tiny set of Olympus Pen F bellows, and the second two are with a Nikkor 55mm f3.5 micro lens adapted. The messed up developed Arista Pan (you can see the tide line) 100, Xtol etc
I haven't shot Fomapan 400 at EI 400 in a few years (I usually shoot it at 200 or at most 320), but I missed that dark, moody look and we had some appropriate weather so I loaded a roll in my Ricoh FF-1 and set the ISO dial to 400.
