Iconic image in that it was July 4th and Aluna’s 13th birthday and my first use of the Mamiya 7ii in over fifteen years and one of my first digital film copy. I wanted a smaller 6x7 and found the foldable Fuji, but U.S. Tarrifs over $2499.99 are a black box.. not sure how it works.. Portra 400 shot at ISO 200 .. expired 2012. OK.. Aluna..

Danke! Lake Bodensee in Lindau, Germany. Was visiting my hometown Bregenz, Austria which is right next door.
Theodore Scheimpflug was a captain in the Austrian Army. He credits Jules Carpentier with the rule. Scheimpflug used it to develop a systematic method and apparatus for correcting distortions in aerial photographs.
Took the Super Fujica Six out ealy this morning and put my last two rolls of FP-4+ through it. Developed them in Rodinal diluted 1:50 for fifteen minutes and all I got was twenty four images with muddy tones and no pop. There were two changes that could have had an influence. First, I added a UV filter. Being a push on, there is the possibility of reflections. More likely, I tried to adjust the Reveni Lumo so it would match the Sekonic 308 for readings. To get them to match, I added +2/3 EV to the Lumo. They are different sensors so that may have led to some of the problem. Fixer was fresh and the chemistry was all within 1° C of each other. Maybe I should just stick to Tri-X.

Next up is some Foma. I have two rolls of Fomapan 100 and two of 400. After that is some HP-5 then circle back to Tri-X.
I found part of my problem. With the Negative Supply 135 carrier, I have a hood that encloses the lens. I have one for the 120 carrier but it rubs against the Sony FE90 macro and makes centering the image difficult, so I don't use it. This leaves a gap between the lens and the shorter hood that's on the carrier. I dug around and found the lens hood for the 90, closed the blinds and turned off the lights. Still not great but better. Unlike the first batch, these hove no adjustments for brightness or contrast.

I also reset the meter and will give it another try.
I got so annoyed with NLP that I switched over to SmartConvert. Much happier with that workflow and feel like I'm not fighting the software as much as I sometimes have to with NLP.
Not as much difference with B&W film, but I still prefer how you can quickly dial in contrast and exposure with SmartConvert (basically same control layout as a Fuji Frontier)
These were shot on Kentmere 400 @ 1600, on the Rolleiflex 3.5E:

Haha I thought those pics looked familiar but didn’t expect you to be at Bodensee 😄
Such a small world — I’m originally from Freiburg, and my aunt lives in Überlingen, just a little west of Lindau
I absolutely adore the bike path around the lake! Last time we took the train from Bregenz to Lindau, then skateboarded back! We had to carry the boards on the dirt path section.
