When I bought my Leica M2-R last year from an old friend, he included three Leica lenses in the package. I haven't really enjoyed using any of them so far, but before I decide to sell them I'm shooting a few rolls with each to be sure I don't want them anymore. The first up was the Leitz Summaron 35/2.8, which is a nice lens but mine has the goggles (not needed for M2-R but my friend wore glasses and found it easier to see the 50mm framelines called up by the goggled version). That makes it heavy and awkward to use. You can't remove the goggles without messing up the rangefinder calibration.
Still on the fence about keeping it, as I have other 35mm lenses I like better, but these photos helped change my opinion of it. Leica M2-R, Fomapan 200, Leitz Summaron 35/2.8 with goggles.
Still trying to find the standard film stock in both BW and color that I can rely on in most of the situations. Ilford's XP2 might be a candidate, though I am also about to get back into developing at home (HC110)...
