I've decided to start shooting the film that's filling our freezer. Back in the 80s, I was a rep, so I stopped in a bunch of camera shops and would pick up Rollei 35s when I saw them. Never shot them since I was into 120 film, but for some reason collected them.
Shot these with:
Rollei 35 (tessar lens), meter didn't work
Minolta handheld meter
Bosch laser tape measure
Ektar 25 color neg film, expired 4/1991, shot at 25, local develop and scan
On some images not shown, using the laser tape measure really worked well for photos in the 4-5 foot range. Well, maybe the 3 chair shot is in that range. The problem with the laser was not getting a reading in super bright (beach) light.
Gonna to share my embarrassing mistake here.
It was my 3rd time made the same mistake again - all happened on my M6.
I didn't load the film properly and didn't even notice while I was shooting.
I spent an hour at a Halloween event yesterday, after the film count showed 37 I finally realized the film didn't load.
Shame on me and my fiancée also laughed on me

It happens to a lot of Leica users at least once! I am not a big fan of that "tulip" technology; I have a lot more success loading a camera with a traditional slot in the spool. When I first got my film Leica (M2-R, it was the first to have the tulip), it often took me six or seven tries before the film loaded correctly. Now I usually get it on the first try but sometimes it takes several tries before I can see the wheel spinning to indicate it is advancing properly.
Sorry you lost all those photos and got laughed at to boot.

After I realized the film didn't load it was already 6pm, there was no reason I load the film again since light was gone ( I'm not the guy who like to use flash light )
Luckily I had my Nikon ZF with me but yea I still lost 36-37 photos.
I found out I didn't load film properly were all happened on the street that I tried to load film quickly to capture the movement.
I had problems with Aurora 800 slipping out of the tulip on my M4-2 but caught it before the first frame.
On a trip to the Oregon coast last year, I had been waiting for the light to change before heading out on the beach. Got to thirty eight frames before I noticed the rewind knob wasn’t moving. The two glasses of Jack Daniel’s may have been part of the problem.

seeing Holga pics from Huss, my photog spirit animal, I bought one and shot some color and b/w rolls. I just got back some of my color image scans (these Portra 160). They're delightfully flawed and imperfect
Love this and your other Holga shots! Also post them on the Holga thread if you haven’t done so already ;j
I’m not saying I’m addicted to my Holga, but I have two rolls waiting to be developed, five to be scanned…
There is something strangely liberating about cameras like this and the Reto Ultra Wide n Slim where your only control is composition.
And a great accompaniment to take along w a Leica/Nikon etc.

speaking of the Reto Ultra Wide n Slim, I bought one because I accidentally bought 5 rolls of 35mm Lomography color instead of 120 that I intended to buy for the Holga. I'll eventually get around to shooting those rolls.

Just FYI, the size you are posting is too big to view properly on my 2.5k monitor, and however you are embedding doesn't work with the FM slideshow feature.
