Why are photographs in this thread so amazing?
Is it because they are taken with film? Is it because film-shooters tend to be better photographers? Something else?
In any case, it's making me reconsider pursuing only digital photography.

I didn't see any comments on your great architectural images from the previous page Simon, so let me say that they are excellent. 4x5 is clearly still the king for architecture. I can't wait until customs release mine so I can start shooting!
Nate, excellent as usual, I really like the colour xpan images from Sendai, depressing as the subject matter is. The first one has an excellent sombre mood.
Thanks for all the nice comments everyone. Sendai as well as the entire Tohoku region is still in tough straights. Just because they've dropped out of the news please don't forget that.

I love film, but as I've told many people, I shoot film for the cameras I want, not because I hate digital. If a digital Xpan, M2, etc dropped tomorrow I'd buy one. I'd been avoiding the M9 because of what I didn't like, but after giving one a try in Tokyo a few weeks ago and getting very frustrated with film lately I ordered one. I'm not sure if I'll like it, but I probably will.
From what I have seen of your work on Flickr and from what I have seen from others here with the M9 you will for sure not regret getting one Nate. I can't wait to see your results in the M thread. I really wish I could afford one in the moment.
