Whaaaaaaat?!!!! this is awesome news! I love Aerocolor 100. It has really pleasant peachy tone to it.
edit - sold out insert sad trombone sound.
Ah, sorry if you can't get it. Not to rub it in, but I just picked up two rolls of it. Aerocolor 100 in 220 format. I'm going to shoot the first roll with an 81b warming filter and get it processed as reversal film in E6, which should avoid the scanning issues that my lab seems to have with this film. If that works out I'll do the same with the other roll.
I hope they get it back in stock...I'm sure there is not much demand for 220 film these days but I'm doing my part.

I'm happy enough using the Veriwide with 120 since it's such a wide lens. Shooting a whole roll of 220 might take more than one outing.

I scanned/NLP it myself so never ran into lab issues. They seem to have set profiles for scanning and I'm sure have none for aerocolor.

I have a 220 back on my mamiya pro rz so I wouldn't mind 220 either.

I am jealous of your Makina...I still want one of those but the price has been a barrier to me.
I was lucky to purchase mine for around $CDN 700 about 4-5 years after it was discontinued (surprise birthday present from my amazing Wife -- I wouldn't have dropped that kind of coin for a camera in those days). It has served me very well, and the Nikkor 80/2.8 produces just the most amazing images, even wide-open. The Makinas are a bit fragile, with soft brass gears in the advance mechanism and tiny wires in the bellows so you have to treat it with care. Mine fell out of my camera bag as I exited a car in Hawaii and ended up needing a replacement advance mechanism (luckily my repair technician had one last set of parts, and he said "don't do that again!"). Other than the hot-shoe going dead due to the tiny wire breaking off (you have to remove the hot-shoe to adjust the rangefinder alignment) which was repaired by a very capable technician in Edinburgh (Cameratiks) the camera has been completely reliable. I don't take it everywhere due to fears of it getting into another accident, but am never disappointed by the results (except when I screw up the focus or exposure). I recently bought the Reflx Lab waist-level finder to use on it, and with zone-focus, that should be fun to try out!
The prices of very capable medium format bodies have plummeted (I've seen several Mamiya 7 kits go by on Buy&Sell at very tempting prices), but I do find the Makina 670 to be my "perfect" compact 6x7 camera setup, and will never sell mine.

I think it's the lack of orange mask that throws them or their scanner's settings. Mine usually come back really bizarre, everything that's supposed to be grey is brick red; things that are purple in real life also are way off. I can fix it in post or now that I have my own scanner I can rescan.

Just loaded this into a TX-2 and N80. Because it was sitting in my fridge staring at me.
Blue Ultra is Vision3 print film 2383. In theory you can use it to make a positive from color negative film. I've tried with a few rolls but haven't dedicated enough time to properly figure out contrast and color filtering. Was able to get somewhat close on color last time I tried, but contrast was too low for projection.
If you have a lab scan this film beware that many labs scan it incorrectly and the colors may be a bit off and garish. You need to find someone who knows what they're doing or scan it yourself.
I can buy this stuff from my lab in Montréal and might try it, as my Mamiya C330 can shoot either 120 or 220 film with the flip of a switch. The Reflxlab website says it's out of stock, but hopefully it'll be back soon. My lab has 9 rolls left so I may pick up a roll or two today. It's cool that it can also be processed as slides in E6, but you need the right filter on your lens for that. My lab charges an extra $5 for processing 220 film, which isn't too bad (that's Canadian dollars). ...Show more →
I've had bad experiences (admittedly a long time ago) with respooled/repurposed films. As you say, colours can be off (due to the lack of the normal negative-film colour-masking layer), quality can be variable, and generally I just found it wasn't worth the cost-savings and stuck to my Fuji Portra and Kodak TMax. Perhaps it's time for me to take some risks again (and how much more risky is it than my 10-years expired stockpile!)
A little gathering we put on of the middle TN film photogs group early this spring. Nikon FM2n, nikkor 20/2.8 ai, adox chs 100 II, d76 1:1, pakon scan. Me on the far left (standing far right).
