That’s strange. Have you considered sending to Leica for a CLA and repair? They still service them, I emailed them before I purchased one. I’ve had 3 M7s so far (albeit not for long) and they’ve all been great.
I’ve only had the camera for a year and it’s been in the shop for half that time. I’m a little afraid of sending it to Leica and losing it for another 6 months.
I’d sell it, but I bought it at Leica Store SoHo and spent way too much. So…I’m kinda of stuck with it. Probably should send it to Leica.
An example (also, was experiencing pretty bad shutter capping at this point)...
I have to be really careful to center the film in the gate to get best results. If I just put the film in, without thinking (as I would in any other camera), I get results like the above or worse. My M5 isn't like this...nor are the other 20 35mm cameras I own.
Not entirely sure what the problem is. My repair technician is very reluctant to work on the M7 (and has made me promise him that I would sell it...twice). It has spent more time in the shop than in my possession in the year I've had it. It feels like a lovely camera, but I am struck that my Nikon FM2 is an infinitely more durable, reliable tool....Show more →
That is really weird. As it is in the bottom of your image, this is happening at the top film gate (image would be reversed in camera). Which means something is blocking the film canister from being inserted completely. Have you shone a light up in there to take a look?
Or it's on the other side, and your tulip is not pushing/placing the film far enough up.

This looks really cyan on my monitor. Any one else see this, or is it just me?
Interesting- I just got a new MacBook Air- I don't see all the CYAN- I will look on my MAc Studio later- Be good to know if its actually not showing that depth of color on it-
Just re-processed on my home MAC studio- I will have to watch for the color shift on the new laptop-

XPAN/45mm/Cinestill 400D
Can't say I love the colors of Cinestill 400D (not sure if that's Vision3 in general or something about removing the remjet layer & developing in C41), but very interesting subject matter and the Xpan format slaps!
You really need to stop posting Xpan shots or checking this thread will end up being very expensive for me
Thanks! Yeah, it was my first time with 400D, and will probably stick with Kodak in the future. I've enjoyed 800T, but of course outside the colors are very cool.
Re the XPAN, it was $$$ so I really need to run film through this thing until the wheels fall off
