Developing a roll of B&W takes about 6 mins at home. Then let it dry for a few hours while you go about your day.
Scanning a roll of 36 takes about 10 minutes using a mirrorless/dslr.
Convert w negativelabpro and do your thing as you would if you shot digitally.
How do you not have time for film?
Colour neg film I drop off at my local shop and it is ready in a couple of hours if I really need it. But that I usually pick up in my free time on weekends. They have a drop box so I can drop it off at night when they are closed if that tickles my fancy.
But some weirdos also dev colour at home…...Show more →
I used to develop B/W (DF96 monobath) and even E-6 color (Agfa Rapid kit) and, yeah, it's about 5-7 minutes to "develop" B/W, but you're underselling it a bit! :-)
Still need time to load the film onto reels, rinse, hang to dry, clean up and store all the equipment, etc. Scanning one roll with a DSLR took more like an hour between setting up the tripod, aligning everything, dusting, cursing the dust, etc. And then there's post time in Lightroom. It's more like 2 hours all together (for me)!
Might make more sense if I add that I put in about 70+ hrs working every week, including most weekends. Worked right up to the Super Bowl kickoff last night! I rarely have time to even shoot digital these days... (I do motion design work for ESPN and Fox Sports. All those shiny 3D team logos and stuff.)
Anyway. All good! One day I'll find the time and I'll suprise ya with some images in this thread. I have a lot of expired film sitting in my fridge that needs to be used!!

You need to revisit your scanning protocols. It literally takes me 10 minutes. Either get a real copy stand -$150- or use the Nikon ES-2 copier.

I'm considering the Skier Pro system if I ever get back into film. Small enough to stow, and quick to set up. (I don't have the room to keep something set up all the time...)
Took my recently acquired Voigtlander 15 4.5 Heliar VII and the new Reveni Cube Meter MK2 out. I was dissappointed with the negatives, thin and under exposed but I'll take the blame. It was a drizzly, overcast day, the Reveni's 45 degree angle of acceptance is easily fooled by bright skies and I knew it but fell for the overly entusiastic readings. No matter how long you've been at this, there is always a learning period.
