The problem is that if you've got a difficult image and you're picky, then nobody will do as good a job scanning as you would do yourself.
Agreed; this is 120 film so I could re-scan the negatives on a flatbed scanner, or I could talk to them and ask them to rescan for me. None of these shots were really keepers, though; they were mainly tests at dusk for a "real" shoot at night that I plan to do when there's fresh snow (we had rain and freezing rain last week so now the snow is all covered in ice and it's dangerous for sledding). I'll overexpose that roll by two stops and see if it works out better.

As soon as I saw the Citroen I knew that was the Zeiss 80mm f/2 and Contax 645. Beautiful rendering. Have you had any reliability issue with the Contax 645?
As long as I've owned it, no. I didn't shoot that much with it. To be bluntly honest, there is a lot of 'hype' around this camera (and the 80mm planar), especially from hipster wedding shooters...
It didn't impress me with anything, the AF is not reliable (especially if you're trying to shoot a portrait with the 80 at F2).
The 80mm is not that sharp (not that sharpness is the most important aspect of a lens, but I was expecting more from a Zeiss lens).
I've actually sold the camera along with the 80mm whilst I was in Netherlands.
I've borrowed a Mamiya 645 AFD + 80mm f2.8 recently, from a friend and shot 3 rolls (3 Velvia iso 50 and one Provia iso 100) and I think the Mamiya will pretty much give the Contax a run for its money...
I'll be posting some more images soon (with the contax).
So I was out skateboarding with RiRi, when I ran into Swee. 70yrs old and still doing her thing.
I shot the action ones from my board, using the waist level DW-3 finder on my F3P for the first time. This actually is an excellent use case scenario for it, as it was much more stable, and safer, than having the camera up at my face.

I worked my way through a bottle of Rodinal and it taught me a lot about how to handle Tri-X. First was the Rodinal works best with Tri-X when it’s exposed at 200. The other being very gentle agitation. Applying some of the same techniques to the D76 clone is yielding good results. Next up is Xtol.

Just got back a roll of Kodak ProImage 100 that I shot with my $20 Samsung AF Slim Zoom (Huss, thanks for the suggestion through your images). I like the look of this film . . . almost like a cross between Portra and Ektar.
I don't think I could ask for more from a P&S let alone one that I snagged for $20!
