Well, the title of the thread is 'Post your recent film shots/!', but yeah we have a very loose definition of 'recent'
So do new camera scans of decades old film/slides count as "recent film shots"?
I'm gearing up to do some archival scanning of a lot of slides and negatives that have been sitting in boxes/envelopes/albums for several decades... some going as far back as the 1920s. Right now I'm delayed by equipment issues (Negative Supply). When I do have some camera scans completed, what's the best place for them? I had thought about starting a new thread for people to show off things they've digitized from old film libraries. Or should everything just go into this thread as a "new" image?
I was thinking that it might be better to have a separate thread for the reincarnation of ancient photos, so I thought I'd ask if it would be better to separate scans of "new" vs."vintage" film images.

Recently scanned counts in my book
Huss is right though, this thread has become the main thread for posting all film shots.
I think since we never had a film forum until recently we're all used to posting to one thread.
Personally, I'm cool with whatever people want to do, whether it's continuing to use one main thread or introducing more specific ones. A vintage/historical film thread sounds cool to me.

Just post the film pics here.
I feel that I speak for the gang when I say we just like seeing film pics. And posting old/er newly scanned ones may encourage to shoot new ones!

Right thumb? My film advance flesh destroyer is in on the left side.
Cool pic! And impressed by how stable it is, with me unless I really pay attention I get motion blur. Sure I shouldn’t take pics while using my pogo stick but still.
That side smearing really looks similar to what I would get from my Nikon 50 1.4S - the rangefinder lens - when shot wide open.
I use mine upside down for the extra challenge.
I kid, I kid... I haven't used it in a while, so I, um... forgot.
It was slightly overcast during the red and green filtered frames of this trichrome, but the sun broke through just before the blue filtered frame. Instead of trying to recalculate the exposure to compensate, I just carried on to see what might come out. Looks kinda like... Lomochrome Purple?
Nikon FM2n, AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.8S, Kentmere Pan 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes. Three individual black and white frames shot through Tiffen #25 Red, #58 Green, and #47 Blue filters, respectively, then combined using GIMP to create a trichrome color image.
