N80 arrived - super sticky back. But 10 mins of rubbing alcohol seemed to have fixed it like you said. There’s a faint white residue left.
Aside from the stickiness it is in fantastic condition. The flash works and the door latch works. The camera looks brand new inside. What a deal! Ran a test roll through it seemed to work perfectly. It rewound the roll all the way into the canister. If only I didn't just sell my 35 1.4 G lens, but the 58g seems to work just fine.
One more go-round should get rid of the white residue.
Remember this:
But the one thing to watch out for is a broken door latch. Nikon in their wisdom made them out of plastic on the non single F af SLR models after the N90. So the n60/65/70/75/80/100 have plastic door latches. First off obviously make sure the camera you get has a working latch. Then to keep it that way never snap the back shut when you load film. Always hold up the latch, close the back, then release the latch.

I noticed w your first shots they are partially light leak exposed with the Hassie. This also happens to me when I get my 120 developed by my lab BUT NOT when I develop it myself. So both your and my labs are being sloppy when loading the film into their developing machine. I just shot a bunch of colour 120 and will talk to my lab when I drop it off.
100% user error! My first roll I didn't roll tightly when it was exposed, (I had trouble getting it out) so it had some light leaks. This roll was also user error. I loaded film and started winding the film back (off the camera) without the dark slide hah!
It's not as bad as my 2nd roll in the Hassy that no one will ever see....I turned the take up knob the wrong way when loading film, basically unwinding the leader from the take up spool. Took 12 pictures and film wasn't even used. Will hopefully never make that mistake again.
On the topic of the Hassy, my 501cm was sold with a "Acute Matte D". I had trouble focusing it, so ordered a split prism and micro prism screen instead. Started learning more about screens and came to realize the screen that came with the 501 was not an Acute Matte D as advertised, it wasn't even an Acute Matte screen. Was going to exchange just the screen, but found a 503cw for the same price so just exchanged the whole camera.

I've got it loaded with its first real roll. Half way through. After this roll I'll give it another go with the alcohol for the white residue. The latch on the door seems to be working great. I used your trick and held the latch down while closing the door to keep it that way.

The 503 has the gliding mirror allowing you to see more of the image through the viewfinder. I owned a few different Hasselblads at various times and the 503 with a PME-45 was the last. Sold it and went back to the Leica M.
Have fun with it and keep posting those great images!

Thank you! I have the 503CW and a PME45 as well now. Great set up. I enjoy it.
