For awhile now, I've been keeping a simple spreadsheet to track the average price of different lenses I'm interested in buying. I check all the usual retail store prices first, then check recent Buy/Sell threads on various forums including FM, and come up with a reasonable estimate for what a good used copy should cost. I imagine most people do the same thing.
What I'm wondering is if anyone knows of a website (or other resource) that tracks this kind of thing. If something already exists, it would be a nice resource for getting a quick idea on used gear prices. If nobody knows of anything, I'm considering creating a site myself, and would be interested to see how many people (if anyone) would be willing to participate and contribute their buy/sell data for the benefit of the photog community.
Any ideas/feedback/recommendations for existing resources would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
