p.1 #1 · IPTC how to apply to an image?

When you send finished images to your client in JPG format. How do you apply IPTC information?

When you use 'save for web' in PS, all image information is stripped. When you use 'save as ...' then I can't find an option to choose what information I want to include and exclude.

I want a method to apply all relevant information I want, but nothing more. Do you use a tool?

In PS use File Info to enter your IPTC data

It's already there, because I fill the IPTC form with LR, but I'm talking about when you save a copy to JPG format for the client. The original tiff is already IPTC ready.

At this moment I fill the empty IPTC fields with IrfanView, one image at the time. This is time consuming and prone for errors.

Why not just export the file from Lightroom as a jpg? This manner in saving will retain the IPTC information.

I haven't tried it yet, and did not think about it. My images have 20+ layers after editing, I don't know if that's a problem.

I can of course save as a copy in tiff format and these load in LR (making sure there are no automatic changes) and then save in jpg format, but ... it I hope it can be done easier.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestion. It seems they have a new version called Geosetter. I shall look into it. http://www.geosetter.de/

Other suggestion of course welcome.
