p.2 #1 · Feeling Overwhelmed. What do you guys do?

If you are like me then the feeling is real, you are chained to the computer. The processing time just seems to take way too long. I also tried to outsource but have not found anyone who can do the work to my standards.
I try to break up the jobs so I do not get burned out doing the same one too long. 2 hours on a album then move to the website work then go to a short break and hit a couple of vendors with info packages on the way back to the studio so at least I feel like I am trying to promote. I seem to get more done with less burnout than when I would work on one event or album start to finish. I also do my small and easy jobs first so I have less on the table. Seems to be less stressful assuming the due dates are in line. Same for the evening. Go home ( not sure why but I like to at least see my home once in awhile) and eat dinner then back to the office till 11:00pm or so. I am a night person and think better in the evening. A waste of my time trying to be creative early in the morning. Could use a laptop at home but I like my studio setup a lot better and home is for relaxing, not work or I would be working 24 hrs.

I totally understand what the poster is saying. There are many times that the amount of pp work seems like a huge task. I started a new pricing this year that prices my books very high---I upped my wedding prices but then priced my books so out of the norm that I get fewer orders-----for me this is good thing--- I hate doing books and spend too much time getting things perfect. So anyone that wants a book has to pay for my time. It has slowed them down but makes it worth while when I do them.
