Scott: I like this. Well placed horizon; foot prints on the beach add interest and purpose; crisp and sharp - but not oversharpened (a common problem); good dynamic range. Really quite nice. Maybe a little too much saturation, especially in the blue. Is this early morning sunrise or late sunset. In either case, a warming up of the white balance may feel better. Nonetheless, it definitely keeps my interest.
Technically and compositionally everything is right.
It is good but would be better with some more interesting elements like a rock or a person looking at the sunset. The footsteps are a good idea but they seem to intrude rather than add to the pictures. Maybe if they were crossing in parrallel to the beach rather than diagonally crossing.
like people said, it looks a tad blue... but i disagree with scott regarding the foot prints. I think they´re a great touch and infact add to the photo rather than take away.

When I read your disagreement I realized that I may have not been clear:
1) I like the picture. It is very good. Just not 10/10 for me because it does not have enough features.
2) I think the footsteps really improve it but woudl be better if they were parrellel to the beach more.
Really, really cool. The footsteps really add interest for me. Makes me wonder were they holding hands? What were they talking about?
If anything, I wonder what it would look like if you could selectively lighten the beach just a hair. I am not suggesting, I am wondering. I also wonder what the others that commented would think about that.
