Steve...exactly what I was thinking! What's the reason behind naming the Stilts "Italy's Knights"??
They're delicate, slim and fragile...I see nothing in common with knights
Then again, the way birds are named here in Italy is a very weird thing: the Kingfisher is called "Martin pescatore" which means Martin the fisherman trailhiker wrote:
Cavallieri d'Italia for a Stilt? I think I'll start calling our Stilts Cavallieri d'Americano, sounds so much more...operatic. I love the ground-level perspectives on these, it really adds to the photos. I'd say my fave is the Godwit but oh, those Smews (I like saying that, too).
Best Wishes,
Steve

Hey Lars glad you like them
That watch shot is my top fav. so far. I really like the gold&blue colours in it. Other watches tend to be dull-coloured Lars Johnsson wrote:
A great series Nello. The Kingfisher is my favorite but I also love the Stilt. The wristwatch photo is very nice also

I watched the game on Tele-Latino, an Italian language station out of Toronto. The great thing about TLN is that, not only have they been airing three games every Sunday, they do it with English commentary (for which I'm eternally grateful!)!! The only problem on the last game day was that the commentator couldn't help but keep the viewers up to speed on the Roma game which (I needn't tell you), was being played simoultaneously. Then they aired the Roma game later in the afternoon, but knowing the outcome rather spoiled it. Now we have Euro 2008 to look forward to!!
