While in the yard this afternoon I heard a flock of Pine Siskins and House sparrows making a fuss in a neighbor's cedar. I knew what that meant. This is in Winnipeg, Canada
Hi Larry, well, I may have heard the fuss, not recognized what birds were making it but gone to see what is was about too. Sure glad you knew what was going on, that is a great looking owl and a very nice shot by you Love the look you are getting, very cool expression.
I think this is the owl that's been in the neighborhood since January. Fortunately it temporarily re-located to the cedar where it made for a much better picture than in it's normal roost 20 feet up an elm tree.
Super capture there, Larry. Many people have told me about owls here or there, and I have investigated only to be disappointed by not finding a nest or owls. I'm still waiting for that golden opportunity. Looks like you have made the most of yours, as this is a wonderful shot!
