Looks like an extraordinary event indeed! Lovely shots but the last 2 are just wonderful!! love them.
Well done

Yes it is very special and one of the best ways to watch elephant behaviour and herd dynamics. Thanks so much for your kind words.

Cool shots and great story. # 4 is a really nice, moody view of the scene. Must be great to be amidst all those elephants.

I was wondering when you were to post some pics again, Mohammed. Well, let me tell you, it was worthing the wait. These are really beautiful shots, especially the first one with its warm color tones, and the fourth one with its golden light. Your commentary made the post more interesting.
Socrate

Hey Socrate. You got me on the backfoot man. Iv'e been lazy!

Thanks for all those kind and encouraging comments. First shot was magical golden light - I was worried if I had warmed it too much in PP. We had to race over the rough/grass in my jeep to get into position to get the shot and then we had to make a quick getaway too! The sunset and afterglow was amazing!

Heeya Susan, "thanso multo like a u sayso"!

After all we are both "africa lovers", but my little Sri lanka is also a little piece of HOE!! I just got back from 3 weeks of South Africa and Kruger with the family, must get the PP going on that lot of RAW files!

awesome!! thanks for sharing the experience.,one of my all time favourite sounds is the low growl of an elephant.

They talk, they really do to each other! I call it a "rumble"! Amazing isn't it when you sit in silence in the jugle, engines switched off and listen to the sounds. I often here it far far away! The love for elephants is something that grows slowly on you.

I really like the fourth one. Was the sunset really that green or did it have some help in processing? Either way, it makes for a very unique look.

Thanks Dave, Yes the Elephants are are very ineteresting. The more one watches them the more it keeps facinating you how sensitive and interactice the herd is. Also i try to show the "animals in their landscape".

Glad you liked, especially No 3. That particular shot I also liked very much because conveys the subtle hint of a threat in the posture and demeanour of the two adults protecting the baby, kinda like as if they are standing guard and saying dont come any closer or else...!
