Super work, Ken, and glad to see you're back out in the field. Where did you see the White-Face Ibis? You got some great looks at their iridescence. And #2 is a shimmering morning shot --- SJWS? Hope to see you "out there" soon...

all awesome and a pleasure to view Ken.
Please give #2 a bit of ccw rotation, that image is sooooooo beautiful

I did think of that (Slight rotation) at the time of processing but ...........
The foreground ripples suggested a need for rotation but, the stonger ripples and lines in the background are in alignment with grid lines. Having them go way out of alignment would seemingly make things feel even more askew.

Nice images but #1 and then the stellar #2 steal the show! Pretty shot of the BCNH with nesting material. #9, great shot

Thanks. I enjoyed the time at the pond waiting and trying to get my Avocet attempts. I also was happy to get Ibis opportunities in decent light instead of trying to shoot them when I didn't have enough light (I don't own a D3 ) which is the usual scenario.

Excellent Ken! Definitely a great series, and #2 is incredible!

Thanks. When I was looking at the scene, I knew that I would ideally liked to have positioned the Avocet in another part of the frame, but I just couldn't pass up the reflected colors.

Great stuff Ken. I've never seen an ibis with a whiter face before--great images.

The breeding color has really come in on those Ibis. Unlike the ones at SJWS, these like to come in when there is still sunlight, and there are more of them with the white face that gives them their name.

The Ibis shots were taken at Carr Park in Huntington Beach. The Avocet shots were taken at SJWS as you suspected, but in the evening.
Hope to see you out in the field again soon.

Hi Ken -- nice shots.
I like DOF in #1 & #2; detail in #3; good catch in #5
Overall, I like your cropping too.

Thanks. I was hoping that I didn't get too rusty from my 3 months of not shooting. I need to get out there more and get back in the grove.
