I have taken a look here on how to leave feedback but I am just not getting it. Does the buyer have to leave feedback first? The buyer of an item I just recently sold to only responded to my ad/post via private message. Is that the problem?
Thanks,
J. Paul

Yes, that's the problem.
The buyer has to make a post on your for sale thread, then you will each see the button to leave feedback pop up on each other's posts.
Then she bought a flash battery pack from me on a different post: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1591532/0?nc=1#14816708
When I click post feedback for pasblues, the window comes with the correct subject line but it's already filled and it's the previous feedback from a different thread. My only option is to delete or edit the feedback.
So I went to the feedback from the most recent purchase: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1591532/0?nc=1#14816708
and deleted the feedback thinking it would unlink the two. I left new feedback. When I go back to the first post, that feedback was changed and copied from the most recent feedback and all I can do it edit or delete that.
Why are these two linked? Can you only leave 1 feedback for a user even though it's different posts and transactions?
I'm pretty new to FM so excuse me if this is a dumb question. I recently bought something thru the site but the seller seems to have removed the original listing. I was quite happy with the purchase and wanted to leave some good feedback. Is that not possible now that the original post is gone?
I am trying to post feedback on an item I purchased from a seller. On a FS page, where I have responded, there is the "Post feedback for ...". I click on that link and all I can do is "edit review". There is no "Send review" button?
I have purchased from this seller in the past. Is it not possible to add a second review if a second purchase is made?
This seems like a bug to me.
Can someone actually leave poor feedback for item that we never had a transaction for? We never even exchanged paypal info. We initially agreed on a price but I ended up selling the item bundled with another item to a member willing to take both off my hands. Don't I have the right to sell my items to whoever I want?
I do not know if this is the place to post a Help question, sorry, if not.
At 'Buy & Sell Photo gear" forum, I located a Camera most suitable for my daughter's photography class.
I am trying to contact the seller over PM, Post reply, Twitter; but he is not responding, mostly he is not aware a buyer is knocking.
His post is 6 months old.
If he respond, I will buy it immediately.
Can the Forum help contacting/alerting him in some way ?
It is good for the the buyer, seller and the Forum too.
I've got a transaction from a WTB post I made. I bought a lens from someone who PMd me and we did all the details that way- but the lens arrived dead and the seller won't respond. How do I leave feedback in this case
I can see you have to be a nerd to be able to post a feedback for a seller ..I tried everything anD there is no way i can post a feedback ...Can you do this more complicated that it is ?
I posted a WTB, got a quick PM with an offer. Bought the camera. Great seller, great camera. But in order to give him feedback, he has to post on my original WTB before I can get the magic button?
Sorry if this (i.e. WTB feedback) is described elsewhere. Just want to make sure the seller gets all the positive vibes!
I just made a purchase from someone that contacted me through PM from a "Wanted" post I created.
The transaction went flawlessly and I'd like to leave him feedback, but I can't find a way to do so.
Any advice?
Thanks!
I don't know if this was answered for you but from what I just learned after a sale, the seller needs to respond in your original WTB post. "Tag for feedback" is a common way for thing the buyer/seller can post.
Fred,
I posted a question in the Sony forum a few weeks ago as I was trying to figure out a good Sony to start out with (have always been a Canon person). I got a PM from a FM member who offered to sell me their nearly unused A7RIV, which I bought and would like to givre them a great review, but because I never even got to posting in the site's WTB, and he never posted an ad, how can I review the sale?
