No, anthropomorphism is the bestowing of human characteristics on non human things, or the tendency to interpret interactions among non-human things using human emotions, tendencies, etc.
Saying that your dog tore something up because he was mad at you is a common example of anthropomorphism.

I was wondering if someone would have a problem with a word that big and unusual. They should be glad I didn't use the phrase "anthropomorphic theater".
