Tamara, Lot's of angles and perspective to deal with, not to mention adding four more putting it all into a rectangle. I would have run like hell from this shot. Very well done. Something I need to work on. I like the tweak. It pulls me down to the heart of the subject now. A nice balance and I love the complimentary colors.
Thanks for your comments Mike. I'm glad you saw both of them; I was hoping the colors would shine more in this one. You all would've gotten a big laugh out of the position I was in at the top of the stairs to get the top corner of the door in view from under that second floor board. Hallways in houses that old are really narrow!

Hey, I see you have an Argus C3...that was my very first house brick...err camera. You can take some amazing shots those oldies...neat to see one still in use.
See I love this, but then I also want to be drawn down towards the door. The door is wonderfully inviting, but my route their isn't clear and that's what I want from this shot. I want the steps down towards the inviting door. Amazing location. And splendid nonetheless.

I think this is simply excellent. I love everything about it...all the angles, the colors, the
concept, the light, textures, the DOF.....everything. If this isn't in the finals, I've lost my 'gift' of being able to read Fred's mind.

1_of_9- Thank you very much for your comment! Of all the gear I've collected, the Brick is the one I carry around the most, heavy or not. I can't say I've been using film long enough to pick a favorite type, other than "expired" since I'm always practicing.

Steven- Thanks! Actually, I'm going to go back out with my film gear to shoot this in black and white. Since I started shooting with film, I haven't been very happy with my black and white conversions. They look flat compared to film. I need practice, and I could clearly take a few pointers from you.
Flibble- Thanks very much for your thoughts. I think I'm bumping the limitations of my gear in this structure, I do have to say I wondered what a much wider lens would do the perspective. I'll have this in mind when I go back after it with film.
