My brother just filled his fishing reel with new, yellow fishing line. I thought it looked interesting. This picture is of said fishing line after he got a backlash fishing today. What do you all think about it?
Certainly tells a story and reminds me of many times my great-grandfather would take me fishing, with a fresh spool of line. After about 3 casts I invariably found myself in a very similar situation. Although we called it a 'backlash', he more accurately described it as a 'birds nest', which the take-up reel closely resembled. Not a happy man We'd go home, he'd grump to anyone who would listen, and eventually use his pocket knife to clear the mess so we might try again another day.
Sorry for the digression - I like the focus and excellent bokeh. Looks like a nice, well made reel
Its a good theme. Depth is nice. There is some glare in the reel that I would try to get out.
For me it is a bit too tight and would be framed better if the frame had more below and more to the left so the frame through the fingers looked more deliberate. I think if you had the material I would crop a bit off the right.
