I really like the silouette you got here with the tombstones. Both speaking the end very clearly. I am not sure if the sunset is hitting to harsh towards the bottom or not. I think it adds to the intensity, but it may be a bit to bright? Either way, a fantastic start to the WA and welcome back to shooting. Look forward to more.
Thanks for the comments Steve. I wondered about the harshness of the sun as well. I have another shot that I took just to left that outlines the head stones but doesn't have the glare of this one. Perhaps I'll change the image over to that one as I couldn't decide between the 2 of them to begin with and chose this in an eni meeni minei mo type fashion.

A lovely sunset that you have captured well and I agree with Steve that the tombstones really enhance the image. I am not bothered by the the flare created by the sun. I like that effect, but I am distracted by the out of focus tree limbs in the background. Ideally you could reshoot and make sure you have focussed at least at the hyperfocal distance of your lens to ensure that the far away objects are sharp, but if you can't reshoot, then a crop to just above the tombstone and a little off the left would remove most of the distractions. I hope this helps. Good luck this week.
Nice shot, I think I might of tried to put the sun behind the middle tombstone to see if the rays of light would of shown in both derection on eitherside of the stone. Good Luck
I appreciate the high contrast, the silhouettes add drama to the image. However, a little detail in the tombstones would emphasize "the end" part well--something showing dates, etc. Have you try a HDR-type image, allowing the high contrast to stay but drawing a little extra detail out of the shadows.
And I think the trees should be in focus a little better, but not a biggee.
Great idea combining the two "Ends", I just think the composition doesn't quite hit it. Does it need to be cleaner with less interference from the trees, I don't know for sure. I think its a great idea but just needs a little finesse maybe just one gravestone and the sunset?
